Triathlon training: Running workshops in London

Running School logoTzero has just received notice of a workshop being organised by The Running School on ‘Running for Triathletes’. The Running School, based in West London, contends that to run faster, we have to become more efficient. It’s all about biomechanics, balance and form. Not only will learning how to running properly make us faster, it should also reduce the risk of injury.

The workshop takes place on 13 March 2010 at the Running School’s premises in Chiswick. The all-day session includes a video run analysis (on a treadmill), theory, and two practical sessions covering efficiency, pacing and ‘Dynamic Core Strength’.

However, if you are not used to watching yourself, be warned: Tzero editor Simon Griffiths last week went along to the Running School for a video analysis of his running style and came away horrified at the mismatch between how he imagined he ran and what he saw on the screen. Nevertheless, he has agreed to return to work on improving his running style and will report back in a few weeks.
