When Ciaran Burns was diagnosed with degenerative arthritis he feared he might have to give up all sport, but now he’s training for the London Triathlon. He credits LitoZin Joint Health Supplement for his recovery, as he describes below:
I’ve always been a very keen athlete and have played professional basketball and competed in biathlons and triathlons since I was about 15 – needless to say, my joints have sustained quite a battering over that time.
I suffered a serious injury to my cruciate ligament in 2001 and underwent surgery followed by an intensive physio programme to repair the damage. Then, in the summer of 2008, I started to get a lot of pain in my knee. By February 2009 the pain was so bad I had to stop all forms of exercise.
I had further surgery on my knee in May 2009 and was diagnosed with degenerative arthritis. The pain was excruciating and the surgeon warned me that if I didn’t start looking after my joints there was every chance I would require knee replacement within the next five years.
Initially I took glucosamine but noticed no improvement. I couldn’t bear the thought of giving up sport completely and hunted around for other solutions. I heard about a natural rosehip supplement – LitoZin Joint Health – that had worked wonders for a friend’s mother and thought I’d give it a shot.
I was very sceptical but after five weeks my pain went away completely, which meant I was able to embark on an intensive course of rehab and physio work without having to ice my knee for hours every night.
I’m now back training, running again on Brighton’s beach promenade, which was something I had missed immensely. For the first time in ages I feel positive about the future and can’t wait to compete again.
